How to read this page

Providers are grouped by what they do for us. For each group we describe the data involved and the purpose. We keep the list to what the app genuinely needs, and we review it whenever a provider is added or removed.

Everything here is subject to our Privacy Policy. No provider is permitted to use your information for their own purposes.

Hosting and infrastructure

Cloud hosting, databases, storage, and content delivery keep the app running. These providers process account data, profile content, and media because they store and serve it on our behalf.

Authentication and account security

Sign in and session services process your email address or phone number and device information to keep your account secure and to detect suspicious sign in attempts.

Trust, safety, and verification

Image and content classification services help detect nudity, violence, and other policy breaking content. Liveness and face matching services support photo verification, and process the verification media you capture along with your profile photos.

Fraud and abuse detection services process device signals and behavioural patterns to catch fake accounts, bots, and ban evasion.

Messaging and notifications

Push notification services process a device token and the notification content so your device can be alerted to new matches and messages. Email and SMS services process your address or number to send verification codes and account notices.

Analytics and diagnostics

Product analytics and crash reporting services process app version, device model, operating system, and in app events, in aggregate, so we can see what breaks and what is confusing. Where consent is required, these run only after you consent.

These services do not receive the content of your private messages.

Advertising and attribution

Where we run campaigns, attribution and measurement services process a mobile advertising identifier and install or campaign events, so we can tell which campaigns worked and stop showing you the same advert repeatedly.

We do not use your messages, verification media, or sensitive profile content for advertising, and we do not sell your personal information.

Your controls and updates

You can reset or limit your advertising identifier in your device settings, and change consent choices from the in app privacy controls where they are offered.

We update this page when providers change. For the current named list for your region, or any question about a specific provider, contact privacy@dove-app.com.
