Cookie Policy

A cookie is a small file a site stores on your device. Local storage works in a similar way inside your browser, and mobile SDKs use device identifiers to do the equivalent job in an app.

Some are set by us, and some by providers who help us run parts of the service.

These keep the service working and cannot be switched off. They cover security and abuse prevention, load balancing, keeping you signed in, accessibility preferences, and remembering the anonymous identifier that keeps your support chat attached to you between visits.

These remember choices you have made, such as language, or whether you have dismissed a banner. Without them the site still works, but it forgets your settings each visit.

Where you consent, and where consent is required, analytics tell us in aggregate which pages are visited, how people move through the site, and where things load slowly or break. We use this to improve the site, not to build a profile about you.

Where advertising technologies are used and permitted, they measure whether a campaign worked and limit how often the same advert is shown to you.

Dove does not use your private messages, verification media, or sensitive profile content for advertising, and we do not sell your personal information.

Where a consent banner is shown, you can accept or reject non essential technologies and change your choice later from the same control.

Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies in its settings, and mobile operating systems let you reset or limit advertising identifiers. Blocking strictly necessary technologies will stop parts of the site working.

The providers we work with are listed on our third party SDK page, which we keep current as the list changes.
